Suffering No Hurt

On September 22, 1918 Cadet Weiss of Leaside lost control of his aeroplane while flying over Oshawa. His biplane became tangled in wires as it descended at the “Four Corners” near where the Toronto Dominion Bank is today.  Mrs. Guys was struck by a brick while leaving Porter’s Dry Goods Store requiring hospital care for a minor injury.  Cadet Weiss suffered no hurt.

Since that time, four other airplanes have crashed in downtown Oshawa.
